THE MAGPIE MEDIA HUB
This is a new community initiative set up to directly address communication problems between local communities groups, statutory services and residents in Beaumont Leys.
The Magpie Media Hub creates articles and news stories to inform and interact with as many local residents as possible via our community newsletter, which is distributed quarterly to local residents within the area.
Our current funding comes from the Big Lottery and DMULocal and our target is to produce and distribute newsletters to a whopping 4250 homes.
Trustee and Editor Chantelle Darlison said "Most groups and organisations have told us that they struggle to promote and create awareness of their services. A real shame if you ask me! That is why we work closely with charities, organisations and new starter groups to help them with their marketing resources and social media communications".
Magpie Media is currently made up of a small team of individuals who have experience in community development, media and marketing and to date we have worked with E2, Beaumont Lodge Neighbourhood Association, B.L.I.N.G and Christ the King Church.
