A community hub located in the heart of Beaumont Leys. Open 5 days a week, Monday to Friday
Who We Are
E2 has been serving the Beaumont Leys community in Leicester since 2005. Our mission is to empower Beaumont Leys through Education, support and community action, addressing the challenges faced by one of the UK’s most deprived areas. Home Farm, where we are based, falls within the 1% most deprived areas in the country, making our work vital for local residents.
Our History
Since 2017, we have operated from a former housing office at Home Farm, Beaumont Leys, which we transformed into a vibrant community hub and training centre. This facility allows us to deliver educational and community services in partnership with organisations like De Montfort University. Being located in such a deprived area means we are uniquely positioned to address local needs and provide essential support.
E2 delivers five free weekly youth sessions for children aged 5–16, with activities like boxing, football, cooking, gaming, music and arts & crafts in Beaumont Leys and Abbey Wards.
Launched in 2019, our Food Pantry reduces food waste and helps local residents cut their weekly shopping costs with affordable access to a variety of food items.
Our Urban Garden at Home Farm offers a space to grow fresh produce, learn gardening skills, and connect with others. Volunteers are always welcome.
A New Chapter: Enhanced Facilities for the Beaumont Leys Community
We are deeply grateful to the UK government for their generous funding and support, which enabled a major refurbishment of our centre. This project has significantly improved our facilities and services, allowing us to better serve the community. After months of dedicated work, the renovations were completed in January 2024, representing a key step forward in creating a more welcoming and effective space for young people and service users in Beaumont Leys.
